MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been impacted by his global impact. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) won the Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN for his debut full-length album. It reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are each musicians. In interviews, he referred to music participation as mandatory. He was taught how to play the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while an infant. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from a Cuban singer, he changed the direction of his career.
