Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The music she grew up with was classical Boleros from the past along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas, and every form of drama. Ana started learning how to sing and play music from an early age, along with her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations and is a teacher and performer, because of her love for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly for the young generation in keeping the music alive.
